As of December 2023, total of 165 Self-Help Groups of PLHIV and Key Populations representing total SHG core members of over ten-thousands from all States and Region across Myanmar are affiliated with MPG.
MPG maintains strong partnership with the seven local PLHIV and KP Community Networks in Myanmar as a member of Community Network Consortium on HIV (CNC) namely Myanmar MSM and Transgender Women Network (MMTN), Myanmar Youth Starts (MYS), Myanmar Positive Women Network (MPWN), PPSSM(Puu Paung Swan Saung Myanmar (HIV/AIDS)), Sex Workers in Myanmar Network (SWiM), National Drug User Network – Myanmar (NDNM) and National NGOs Network (Health)-3N to collaboratively working on Community System Strengthening particularly Community Advocacy, Representation, Community-led Monitoring as well as Service Deliveries.
MPG also working in strong partnership with many local Community Based Organizations led by PLHIV and KP to collaboratively contribute to the National HIV responses. For instance, Aye Myanmar Association (AMA) is one of the MPG’s CBO partners implementing HIV Prevention program activities since 2021.
MPG also has a long-term and strong partnership of Asia-Pacific Network of People Living with HIV (APN+) and other regional PLHIV and KP networks for coordination to collaboratively focus on advocacy issues, regional priorities as well as cross-border related challenges and access to services.
Since our foundation, MPG has been receiving continuous technical assistance supports from different technical agencies such as UNAIDS, ICAP, CPI, UNOPS, WHO, GNP+ and other international partners to ensure our programmatic and operational capacities to engage, efficiently implement and monitor program and services. Through these supports, MPG resources are equipped with necessary capacity building trainings on program management and organizational capacity development to adopt various tools and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
