MPG is a local community-led, non-profits, non-governmental, National Network of PLHIV, established since 7th May 2005 with the main purpose to promote the involvement of PLHIV and affected KP communities from grass-root community to advocate and strengthen the HIV responses in Myanmar. As of May 2020, total of 165 Self-Help Groups of PLHIV and Key Populations representing total SHG members of over 9,864 from all States and Region across Myanmar are affiliated with MPG and maintaining strong partnership with eight other local HIV community networks in Myanmar and Asia-Pacific Network of People Living with HIV.
In building an equitable, humanitarian-minded, self-reliant society and to enable access to quality health services in future for the PLHIV community and the people in Myanmar, MPG will be representing the voices of the people, actively participating and leading by example in all activities beneficial for the health of the people.
Leading by example, representing the voices (needs) of the people and through meaningful involvement, MPG will network and collaborate with all relevant agencies, organizations and stakeholders in all activities beneficial for the health of the people.
