Activity Name: HIV Prevention Project Date : 20^th May, 2023

Location : Hlegu KPSC

HIV/TB Agency, Information and Service Activity (AIS) supported the HIV Prevention Project by Myanmar Positive Group at Hlegu KPSC in Hlegu Township, Yangon from October 2022.

The objectives of the collaboration are as follows:

1. To expand the HIV prevention services to ensure populations at risk for HIV are reached, tested, and linked to TB and HIV services
2. To expand secondary distribution of prevention commodities at different service outlets
3. To provide Health Education sessions about HIV and STI prevention and treatment at KPSC and in field/community
4. To provide community-based testing services and HIV testing services at KPSC
5. To support to access ART enrollment.
6. To support clients psychologically by pre-test and post-test counselling
7. To provide Index-Testing Services

So what :HIV testing services to 60 clients (56 new clients and 4 retesting clients) and 6 reactive cases were found out. 3 were HIV positive and 2 reactive clients were still in confirmation stage and 1 reactive client was inconclusive stage (Determine – positive, unigold – inconclusive, Stat-pak – inconclusive) and need to retest after 3 months. 13 STI cases were treated to the clients who had syndromic infection among 60 HIV testing clients. Peer Gathering Event (FSW) was done on May 18^th 2023. We promoted and gave HE sessions to attending participants and found out 2 FSW reactive clients after that event.

The Coordination meeting with SSR was done on 11.5.2023. Before SSR meeting was started, we invited Hlegu ART focal Daw Moe Moe Hlaing and met with our partner organization (AMA & MMTN) to get good relationship with them. Hlegu CMO attended AIS review meeting at Nyaung Shwe Township on 19.5.2023 and 20.5.2023.

Peer Gathering Event (FSW) was done on May 18^th 2023 and 2 reactive cases were found out after that event.
