EOW report of LAC forming Workshop in Lashio

Date : 21^st -22^nd September 2022 Location : MPG Sub-Office (Lashio)

HIV/TB Agency, Information and Service Activity (AIS) organized the LAC forming Workshop by the National Drug Users Network Myanmar and Myanmar Positive Group with the collaboration with stakeholders for achieving its objective of its. A total 25 participants attended the workshop from the representatives of stakeholders and members of NDNM of Lashio.

Theobjectiveoftheworkshopisasfollows:

To learn the formation and management of the Local AIDS Committee with systematically
To be aware of the election process of the member of LAC
To explore the structure and role & responsibility of the LAC
To plan the future plan for sustainability of LAC

So What: All the participants gained new knowledge of what is LAC and the purpose of LAC for reducing harm and improving enabling environments for IDUs and discussed the main activities of LAC in Lashio and conduct the cross-learning experiences related to LAC of Kachin shared by online. All participants actively discussed and identified the structure of LAC, the Role & responsibility of each member of EC, and explore the role and responsibility of the advisory group and decided the action plan for collaboration with stakeholders for LAC. Developed the draft SOP of LAC based on the discussion of these two day workshop.
