HIV/TB Agency, Information and Service Activity (AIS) organized the LAC Meeting virtual event with the purpose to support for achieving objective for LAC Meeting to all people living with, at risk of and affected by HIV in all sectors especially in health, education and work place platform. This event was held with more than 28 participants including representatives of MPG, NDNM, SWiM, MINA and other stakeholders, leaders of Key Population and members of Self-Help Groups and Key Population networks from States and Regions across Myanmar.
The objective of the event is as follow:
- How to elect the members of the management committee of the local AIDS committee, to know themanagementmethodsofthelocalAIDScommittee,andhowtoorganizetheminasystematic way.
- Tobewellinformed
- ToidentifythestructureandresponsibilitiesoftheRegionalAIDS Committee
- AcontinuationforthesustainabilityoftheRegionalAIDSCommittee
- Tolearnhowtoplanprocessessystematically
SoWhat: By holding the LAC event, all networks in the region participated, shared responsibilities, networks in the region became more united, and the work process for PWIDs. Improved and regional collective power has become more productive.
On 30th December 2022, CSSD team Saya Min San Tun and Ko Sai Aung Kham (Chairperson of NDNM) was led as per meeting Agenda. Firstly, we introduced to all participants and explained about the purposes of meeting. And then we have reflected the previous workshop decision and discussed for the Team name change according to the all participants agreements thus is CAAPT (community AIDS/PWID participatory Team Lashio. Then we discussed about the role and responsibilities in team of each position and set the criteria for team member as per their role. Next, we conducted the election process for team member selection used the voting system from nominated from the participants. And selected the advisory base on the result we organize as a team with their role and responsibilities.
On 31st December 2022, Ko Pyi Aung Hein and Sai Hurk they was led the drafted SOP review and finalization such as role and responsibilities of team members and Advisor role and responsibilities by discussion method. Then, we finalize the organization structure and discussed about the routine meeting schedule and quarterly meeting schedule. And then we explore the capacity building training needs topics by group work brainstorming activity. All participant is 28 persons.
