HIV/TB Agency, Information and Service Activity (AIS) organized the International Drugs user’s Day virtual and In-person hybrid event with the purpose to support for achieving objective for International Drugs User’s Day. This event was held with more than in-person 50 participants and Virtual 22 participants including representatives of UNAIDS, MPG, NDNM and other stakeholders, leaders of Key Population and members of Self-Help Groups and Key Population networks from States and Regions across Myanmar.

The objective of the event is as follow:

International Drug Users’ Day for the purpose to advocate the reducing of criminalization towards the people who Use Drugs and for the redress of criminalization’s negative effects on HIV, viral hepatitis and other health issues, for the respect of human rights and for more funding for community-led harm reduction program.

So What:

International Drug Users Day ပြုလုပ်ခြင်းဖြင့် PWIDများ အသိအမြင်ပိုမိုကြွယ်ဝလာခြင်း၊ ပိုမိုစည်းလုံးညီညွတ်မှု ရရှိလာခြင်း၊ လူမှုပတ်ဝန်းကျင်နှင့်ပိုမိုနီးစပ်မှုရှိလာခြင်း၊ မိမိတို့၏ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်အပြင်အခြားသောပတ်ဝန်းကျင်နှင့်ပါ လိုက်လျှောညီ‌ထွေမှုများပိုမိုရရှိလာခြင်း၊ PWID များ၏ဘဝသည်ပိုမိုကောင်းမွန်သော ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ကောင်းများ ရရှိလာနိုင်ခြင်း၊ ထို့ပြင် လူထုအတွင်း PWID များ၏ဘဝပိုမိုစာနာနားလည်လာနိုင်ကြမည် ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

Community Message on International Drug Users Day

The representative of MPG reading the community message on International Drug Users day message that

• We could organize and provide the message among the Drug users population and Key population to enhance the harm reduction services and services coverage area expansion.
• We could provide the message to enhance the Key Population led harm reduction activities and could provide the awareness message for Drug users rights
• To promote every to get same opportunity to learn education and avoid discrimination in education.
• Should access to health services for PLHIV, KP and family members without discrimination.
