EOW report of Zero Discrimination Day

HIV/TB Agency, Information and Service Activity (AIS) organized the Zero Discrimination Day virtual event with the purpose to support for achieving objective for zero discrimination to all people living with, at risk of and affected by HIV in all sectors especially in health, education and work place via online zoom platform. This event was held with more than 299 participants including representatives of UNAIDS, USAID, CPI and other stakeholders, leaders of Key Population and members of Self-Help Groups and Key Population networks from States and Regions across Myanmar.
The objective of the event is as follow:
To support for achieving objective for zero discrimination to all people living with, at risk of and affected by HIV in all sectors especially in health, education and work place.
So What:
MPG was conducted the sharing session by KP leaders of MSM, SW, IDU and PLHIV with two session in the event. The first session, all KP leaders are shared about their experiences on “ stigma and discrimination to Key Population respectively. In second session, KP leaders are shared about the response activities on stigma and discrimination that law enforcement and amendment the KP law and HIV law. And All the participants are asked the questions that the status of HIV law legalization process. Responsible person of MPG replied the current process of it.
Community Message on Zero Discrimination Day
The representative of MPG reading the community message on ZDD that

  • To reduce stigma and discrimination toward PLHIV, KPs and Youths for accessing the Health care services.
  • To collaborate and create Job opportunities for regardless of HIV and avoid the discrimination in work place.
  • To promote every to get same opportunity to learn education and avoid discrimination in education.
  • Should access to health services for PLHIV, KP and family members without discrimination.
